"LONDON, July 7 - A series of explosions rocked the transportation system across a swath of central London Thursday morning, injuring scores of commuters and killing at least three with the numbers expected to rise, according to early reports. The blasts hit subway stations, subway carriages in the underground tunnels, and several double-decker buses.

Prime Minister Tony Blair said it was "reasonably clear" that the attack was an act of terrorism timed to coincide with the meeting of the G8 industrial nations* in Scotland, which is being attended by President Bush.

The blasts came nearly simultaneously at the beginning of morning rush hour and caused an undetermined number of injuries. Initial preliminary reports from authorities said at least 90 people were injured with at least three dead.

Authorities deployed some troops, bomb squads with dogs and rescue crews across central London. Four hours after the explosions, rescuers were still trying to extricate passengers from some subway carriages in the area of the Kings Cross railroad and tube station in the heart of the city...

...Witnesses speaking on TV described scenes of flashes of fire, followed by screaming and fear, with passengers on subway cars acting unaided to escape, opening emergency doors and walking through the dark to platforms and up long flights of stairs...

...The BBC is reporting that Al Qaeda sources are telling them it's highly likely they were behind the attacks..."

This is disgusting... In the very words of the CPMC, it's sickening. TBN's thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.

Why do these terrorists want to destroy our right and way of life? This is a different kind of fear we live in. They attack, we react. Repeat. Is it ever going to stop?? I am angered, annoyed, and frusterated. It doesn't matter that this happened over seas or in a different country, we all know how close to home this hit today.
