I'm hooked

It's my week off. I start my new job on September 6. I wish I could say I'm going somewhere exotic and fun... but I'm not. I don't get paid again until October, so funds are low and need to be saved.

I'm having a relaxing time... Cleaning, doing laundry, reorganizing my closets (yes, that is plural), working out/running, hanging out with the fam, catching up with friends - and taking care of my new addiction.

PokerStars.com. There ya have it. You can find me in the play money tables, playing Texas Hold'em... Username: absolut_sara.

Seriously, my eyes are going bad from staring at my computer screen. And I can't stop. I don't want to. It's too much fun. And besides, what else is a broke girl to do? (Other than sleeping in until 11:30, as was the case today.) ;-)

Have fun at work today guys... hehe

My husband is also addicted to that site... He comes home from work and logs on immediately -- we haven't spoken in weeks, I swear. Boo hiss.

Oh, I am so jealous you have all that free time on your hands.
I don't know how to play poker...but I sometimes I play Scrabble and Monopoly on Games.com.
It's free and fun.

Enjoy your time off and if you get especially bored...email me and I'll buy you a meal and drinks. (I need some friends in DC)

I invite my friends over all the time for Poker, which usually lasts all night. Last time we played, I cashed everyone out at 5 AM (I'm usually the house). It's addictive. Enjoy your vacation, I know I will -- I basically have a whole month of vacation I have to use or lose in the next two months. Sucks... seriously, cause I wanted to take three weeks off and do Thailand or something. So while you'll be back at work starting Sept 6, I'll start my era of 2 day weeks.

Sara, sara, sara...

It's good to see a fellow Pokerstars player around. You've got to get into the real money tables though. People playing with fake cash will play any cards, bet all their money with no repercussion, etc. You can't really get better playing against people like that.

Come where the real money is, it calls to you.

I usually play in the Sit N Go tournaments. $1.20 will get you $14 to start, you can play for more if you have deep pockets.

If she played with real money, Sara's the kind of girl who'll splash the pot (even if you tell her not to). I can tell.

I play on partypoker.com, but never pokerstars. I might have to check it out.

Also, I 100% agree with the captain. The play money tables are garbage because people will call with anything. It's frustrating.

I actually haven't played online a while because I play with a group every Friday night. It's soooooooo much fun, too. I actual prefer playing in person now because I get to 'read the other players'.

If you ever want to play, let me know Sara!
